GDF SUEZ has been present in Poland since 2000, where it operates the Polaniec plant, the fifth largest electricity plant in the country and the largest plant in south-eastern Poland. With an 1800-MW installed capacity, the plant produces both conventional and renewable energy through the use of coal and biomass.
